The Department of Climate Change’s goal is to “Build a Resilient Tonga by 2035,” which is reflected in and supported by the Tonga Climate Change Policy & related legislation, regulations, policies, and strategic action plans. This objective is also consistent with the vision and national outcomes 1 – 7 of the Tonga Strategic Development Framework, 2025 – 2035.
Mission
To develop a resilient Tonga through an inclusive, participatory approach that is based on good governance, builds knowledgeable, proactive communities and supports a strong, sustainable development pathway.
